How It All Started
Hi! I’m Alex. I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina—a city full of life, culture, and noise. But some of my fondest memories are far from the city’s hustle: summer road trips south to Patagonia, where endless skies, crystal lakes, and jagged mountains sparked a lifelong love for the outdoors.
Traveling solo in Europe in 2001 ignited a new sense of freedom and empowerment. At 25, I moved to California, instantly captivated by the dramatic landscapes—deserts, mountains, coastlines—all within a few hours’ drive.
The idea for Miles and Hikes came during a solo cross-country road trip from Los Angeles to Georgia. I wanted to share not just the places I visited, but the energy of being present in nature—the awe, reflection, and quiet joy it brings. I had no background in video, but I learned as I went, creating content that resonates with people seeking meaningful experiences outdoors.
The Project
Miles and Hikes is my space for documenting the places I go, the trails I walk, and what I discover along the way.
